“Harmony & Motion" is a duo exhibiton featuring the works of Richie Carter and Turner Vinson that showcases artistic contrast and celebrates the ways in which our differences in how we see the world around us can unite us in a shared appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.

Cassens Fine Art is delighted to announce an upcoming duo exhibition titled "Harmony and Motion," featuring the distinct artistic styles of Richie Carter and Turner Vinson. The exhibition is set to open at the gallery this June, offering art enthusiasts an immersive experience into the diverse and rich world of art. Their exhibition will be a captivating showcase of artistic contrast.

Carter's serene landscapes and ethereal compositions evoke a sense of peace and tranquility, inviting viewers to witness the world through his eyes. Vinson, on the other hand, infuses his work with dynamic brushwork and vibrant colors, capturing the essence of spontaneity and motion in every piece.

According to gallery owner Michelle Cassens, "Richie and Turner epitomize the diversity of artistic expression. Their contrasting approaches to their craft not only showcase their individual talents but also highlight the power of art to inspire, provoke, and evoke common ground."

In preparation for the exhibition, Cassens Fine Art had the privilege of sitting down in conversation with Carter and Vinson, which you can listen to in full here. During the discussion, both artists shared insights into their creative processes and the concept behind the show.

“The strength of us showing work together is this dichotomy of real intense, direct, and more expressionistic to much more premeditated pieces that begin with a drawing. [Our styles] are just so different, even though they fit the realm of realism,” says Carter.

“I think this show is exciting for me because not only do I like Richie as a person, but I absolutely love his work. He finds the subtlety and the quality of light, and paints with an attention to detail. I’m the opposite of all of that, so I'm excited to see our paintings in a show together,” says Vinson.

Harmony and Motion” opens with a reception at Cassens Fine Art on June 7th from 5-7 pm and will be on display for the rest of the month. The community is invited to attend, meet Richie and Turner, view their collection, and celebrate the ways in which our differences in how we see the world around us can unite us in a shared appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.
