Cassens fine art presents: "Painting the West"

"Painting the West" is a solo exhibition by Utah artist Rick Kennington. This collection offers an honest and heartfelt look at life on the range, shaped by Kennington’s deep roots in the land and the traditions of the American West.

HAMILTON, Mont.— This September, Cassens Fine Art will debut "Painting the West", a solo exhibition of new work by western artist Rick Kennington. Deeply rooted in the traditions of ranch life, this body of work reflects Kennington’s, as well as history’s, connection to the land, animals, and values of the American West.

Raised in Utah and shaped by time on his grandfather’s working ranch in Wyoming, Kennington brings a painter’s eye to a life he’s lived. His subjects: cowboys, Native riders, open landscapes, and more, are displayed with a balance of realism and artistic observation.
