"Coyote Kinship" invites viewers to see the untamed spirit of the West through Andrea Morgan’s bold and intuitive paintings.

Cassens Fine Art announces “Coyote Kinship,” a solo exhibition by Andrea Morgan. Opening with an artist reception on Friday, March 7, from 5-7 p.m., guests will have the opportunity to meet Morgan and experience her work firsthand.

“Coyote Kinship” explores the deep, unspoken relationships between land, wildlife, and human presence. Rooted in her background as an ecologist and farmer, Morgan’s paintings reflect an intuitive connection to nature, capturing fleeting moments.

With layers of acrylic, charcoal, and vintage materials, Morgan builds compositions that are rich in texture and movement. Her work speaks to a broader idea of kinship—it’s more than family ties; it’s the shared existence between creatures, landscapes, and those who call them home.

“Andrea’s art captures something rare—the feeling of truly being part of a place rather than just moving through it,” says Michelle Cassens, Owner & Curator of Cassens Fine Art. “She is redefining Western art by blending its rich traditions with contemporary abstraction. Her work honors the land and wildlife central to Western identity, but through a lens that challenges convention—merging bold mark-making with layered storytelling. She stands at the intersection of past and present, preserving the essence of the West while pushing its artistic boundaries forward.”
